About She is Capable
She is Capable started from a simple place
I needed these conversations.
I’m Valerie, a mum of four, someone who’s navigated (and is still navigating) plenty of transitions, and a fellow traveller who believes we’re all more capable than we realise.
I created She is Capable because I’m still figuring it out, and I wanted to create a space for conversations about the messy, beautiful, complicated parts of being a woman today.
She is Capable is for women who are figuring it out as they go, in every season.

As seen in:

What You’ll Find Here
we explore questions together:
- How do we navigate transitions without knowing what’s next?
- How do we build confidence when we feel behind?
- How do we stay connected to ourselves while caring for everyone else?
- How do we permit ourselves to want more?
Some weeks, I’ll share what I’m learning. Other weeks, you’ll hear from women whose stories will inspire you. Every week, I hope that you’ll feel a little less alone and a little more capable.
Hi, Im Valerie: Your Host
A Little About Me
After having my first child, I started wondering how to earn income in a way that would give me the freedom to spend time with my family. As a multipotentialite, I struggled to find my best career fit. So I turned to tech and taught myself digital skills through online courses because I was curious and needed flexibility.
I’ve freelanced and worked remotely for nearly 4 years as an SEO Account Manager, and I’m now building an education platform (Digital Foundations Academy) to help other women learn digital skills.
But here’s the thing: I’m still learning and still making mistakes and still figuring out how to balance everything. Still having days where I feel behind, uncertain or overwhelmed.
I share my journey as proof that you can move forward even when you don’t have it all figured out.
What I Believe
You’re capable
You’re more capable than you think
Capability isn’t about confidence. It’s about showing up even when you’re uncertain.
Small steps count
Progress over perfection
Progress over perfection. Small steps count. Small steps matter more than big leaps.
Your timeline is valid
Transitions are opportunities
We’re all figuring it out. Even the people who look like they have it together.
my Core Values
Transitions are opportunities. Everyone’s journey is unique and valid. You’re not behind, you’re on your own path.
I truly believe
Community makes everything easier. We need each other’s stories, struggles, and encouragement.
An Interesting Fun Fact
I have a constant battle with the fear of being seen
feeling capable isn’t about having it all together. It’s about believing you can figure it out, even when you don’t have the answers yet.
